The feelings of true happiness

I tried to figure out how it feels to be truly happy and suddenly i recalled a very petite incidnet of my life. It was a very cold winter evening sometimes in the the year 2000. I was living in a small town of Bangladesh. After my dinner i took a gentle walk in a quiet area nearby my place. Since it was very cold, i had plenty of warm clothes on. While i was in the street, i suddenly saw a very poor man, of about middle age, shivering in the cold! He only had a torned trouser with just a thin vest on. I looked at myself, how many i was wearing? I had vest, thermals,  a round neck T shirt, a shirt, a sweater, and a jacket!!! Seeing that poor man, i suddenly was so saddened that my eyes got wet instantly. I took of my jacket and gave it to him. At that moment, the gratitude in his eye i saw brought tears in my eyes yet again. I suddenly felt extremely happy just by comforting a poor man. Till this day, i sometime wonder, was that the feelings of true happiness? Perhaps it was............who knows?
